| This is a complicated set-up and the home owner would mostly like be on the losing end. If you are really having a hard time paying your mortgage, I agree that it's better to request the bank to modify or restructure your loan. This is not easy to do, however, because banks will not immediately grant your request. They will give you a hard time first and it could take some time before they grant it. |
